Role of a CASA/GAL Volunteer


National CASA Standards for Local CASA/GAL Member Programs define the appropriate role of CASA/GAL volunteers. Standard I states that the primary purpose of a National CASA member program is to represent the interest of abused and neglected children in court proceedings. National CASA has provided guidance on the appropriate role of the CASA/GAL volunteer in the following instances:
